England winger Jack Nowell showcased his footballing skills on New Year’s Day to set up the wonderful try against Bristol Bears which fans have been raving about.
The Exeter powerhouse got the ball from Joe Simmonds as part of a lovely line out play by the Chiefs and Nowell took the ball to the line with Bristol’s Charles Piutau closing him down.
But rather than forcing a risky pass, Nowell produced a cute grubber kick for Stuart Hogg to collect out wide before the Scottish international gave a simple pass to Tom O’Flaherty who went over in the corner.
Interested to see what Jack Nowell’s role could be for New England™️. Has all the hustle and all the bustle. This grubber into the space vacated by Charles Piutau is really cute, too. pic.twitter.com/sBo3DgUa4A

This was Exeter’s first try of the game and opened the scoring at Sandy Park in front of a record crowd for the West Country side. The seven-pointer helped the Chiefs record a 19-13 win to kickstart their year in style and they now sit fifth on the Premiership table after 11 rounds.
Nowell, 28, has earned 42 caps for England since making his debut in 2014 as well as a further two caps for the British & Irish Lions on the 2017 tour to New Zealand.
The powerful winger has also made more than 100 appearances for Exeter Chiefs over the past decade.
