Wales legend Jamie Roberts looked like his younger self over the weekend, scoring a try in Dragons’ 20-28 loss to Ospreys at Rodney Parade on Saturday.
Roberts returned to Wales after seven years away and signed a one-year deal back in August. He’s now hopeful that talks can begin about extending his stay.

Speaking to the BBC, 34-year-old Roberts said: “That Covid break has re-energised me and I feel 28 again, no let’s say 26… I feel I’m playing as well now as in my mid to late 20s.”
“It’s up to the Dragons to start those conversations (about a new deal). I haven’t had them yet but if they want to chat about that, then crack on.”
He was with Stormers in South Africa last year when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Though he tested positive back in August of last year, the centre has just returned to active duty after self-isolating through the holiday season.
