Jean De Villiers scored a late try as Munster picked up a 27-19 Magners League win over Glasgow Warriors in a closely contested game at Thomond Park this past weekend.
Denis Hurley scored a try early on after a nice break from Lifeimi Mafi and a great long pass from Ian Dowling. A loose Ronan OGara pass later in the half then allowed Glasgow flanker John Barclay to get the intercept and sprint away for a nice try.
Munster regained control in the second half after a string of penalty kicks by OGara, while Dan Parks kept them in touch with kicks in the 68th and 72nd minute.
De Villiers then managed to squeeze in at the corner for a superbly try that was nonchalantly converted by OGara, taking his personal tally to 17 points and denying the Warriors a bonus point in the process.
Munster’s 17th home win on the trot now takes them to second place on the Magners League table ahead of their clash with leaders Leinster this weekend.
