All Blacks and Hurricanes star Jordie Barrett showed off his American football skills during round one of the Mitre 10 Cup for Taranaki.
The full back caught the ball in touch around the halfway line and immediately threw a huge 25-metre, one-handed pass in what has be one of the most impressive quick lineouts you’re ever likely to see.

Former Blues centre Joe Marchant also showed off similar skills during Harlequins’ recent game against Bath in the Premiership with this lovely effort, although Barrett’s is arguable slightly more impressive.
Taranaki went on to beat Bay of Plenty 36-29 at TET Stadium and full match highlights are available below:
Barrett, 23, stands at 6ft 5 and is one of the most dynamic outside backs in New Zealand. He has 17 All Blacks caps to his name and will likely be a valuable member of the squad for years to come.
