Late drama sees Pau snatch penalty try victory in Top 14 opener

French club Pau beat Montpellier in the opening game of the 2020/21 Top 14 season with a dramatic late penalty try.

The visitors were piling on the pressure at a scrum in the last play of the game which resulted in the automatic seven points to secure a 23-26 win at the GGL Stadium.

A power cut in the opening half added to the drama and despite World Cup winner Handre Pollard kicking 13 points, Pau came away with a shock win.
