Munster scored three late tries to make the final score of 35-10 look comfortable as they picked up a bonus point win over Ulster in the Magners League at Thomond Park last night. Lifeimi Mafi finished off an exciting end to the game, so that try is featured.
Tries were scored by Denis Hurley, Tommy ODonnell, Barry Murphy, and center Mafi, while Thomas Anderson scored for Ulster, with Paddy Wallace kicking the rest of their points.
Ulster were very much in the game, with a halftime lead, but the introduction of some big guys meant that the hosts were able to turn the screws and take control in the second half.
Munster went eight points clear with the win, but there was a sour note as hooker Jerry Flannery, who had just made a comeback from injury, limped off late in the game. He will undergo an MRI scan on his injured calf muscle, which will determine whether he will be out for a lengthy period or not.
You can see him pull up in the build up to this great try as Paul Warwick sprinted down the left wing after a turnover allowed Munster to have a crack at the bonus point. Some excellent interplay resulted in Mafi getting on the end of it to pick up their fourth try.
