Round seven of the 2022 United Rugby Championship was the final round before an elongated break for the November internationals.
The break brought with it a big weekend of South African derby fixtures as the Lions hosted the reigning champion Stormers whilst the Sharks also travelled to the highveld to take on the Bulls.
Both fixtures were immensely captivating and highlighted the strength in depth of the South African franchises who were playing without a number of their Springbok stars.
One such player on the periphery of the Springbok squad is flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse who is the brother of incumbent Bok scrumhalf Jaden.
Currently in the midst of a battle for the Lions number ten shirt with Gianni Lombard, Hendrikse has shown glimpses of being a real contender down the Lion for an international opportunity.
It is not just his general play that has caught the eye but also his monster boot which rivals even a peak Frans Steyn!
See here casually slotting a 70m penalty in a warm up, Hendrikse looks to be the next in a long line of long range bombers from South Africa.
