The England loss against South Africa has had plenty of coverage over the past few days, but generally speaking, it’s all been regarding the actions on the field rather than anything that’s happened off of it. Well, now it’s time for something new, and Sale Sharks’ Luke Cowan-Dickie has come up with the goods.
Parading around the training ground of the Manchester-based club in a Springbok uniform, it appears that the former England hooker has come prey to a rather unfortunate bet.

The response to Cowan-Dickie’s shirt swapping has been greatly received on social media, with many fans wondering which Du Preez brother he got into the bet with.
Cowan-Dickie was sadly not available for the World Cup, with England head coach Steve Borthwick saying before the tournament: “Despite all his incredible work and progress, Luke’s shoulder has not improved sufficiently for him to be considered for selection for the World Cup. We wish him a swift recovery and hope to see him back playing very soon.”
Borthwick did go on to add that he was confident in the future of the player’s involvement within the England squad saying: “he’ll be a big part of English rugby going forward.”
