South Africa got their Rugby Championship back on track on Saturday as they bulldozed the Wallabies to pick up a first win on Australian soil in nearly a decade.
Brute force, waves of physical attack and sublime finishing by the Springbok backline was too much for the hosts to handle.
Leading the way was Makazole Mapimpi who got one back against his opposite number Marika Korobiete as he barged over for a decisive try.
All week Mapimpi heard about how Korobiete smoked him into touch as the Wallabies put the Boks away with relative ease.
The usually reserved Mapimpi was full of fight in Sydney as his shove on Korobiete led to an all-in brawl that saw action stopped for several minutes as the two sides squared up.
Prior to this incident, Mapimpi had just about enough of Wallabies scrumhalf Nic White who was roundly criticised throughout the week for an apparent dive in Adelaide.
In an epic exchange Mapimpi left White in doubt about his feelings for the scrumhalf’s shenanigans.
“HEY, SHUT UP, SHUT UP”
Makazole Mapimpi has had enough 😤
