A medic has lined himself up for a fair bit of criticism after getting in the way of an important touchline conversion during a match recently.
The medic in question casually strolled in front of Samoan fly half, Cassie Siataga as she lined up to put the ball through the sticks – leaving her visibly, and understandably, miffed.
Despite the interruption, Siataga struck the ball beautifully as she knocked the ball straight through the uprights.
This is pathetic from this bloke. Medics should be required to sit down and shut up until they’re needed…great kick though. pic.twitter.com/PmL1OuNPCr

Fans were quick to label the medics actions as deliberate, with many calling for a sanction to be sent his way.
One person claimed: “He should be given a formal warning by the game organisers.”
Another added: “That’s shocking – he needs to serve a ban if he is a team official and if he’s not then he needs to be stood down until he can learn to respect the kicker.”
Others complimented the ability of the ten to still hold her nerve despite the actions of the official, saying: “The bloke is a bellend, amazing composure to still put the kick over like that”.
There were less drastic mentions, however, with one person, in particular, giving the medic the benefit of the doubt, adding: “I think he’s just the venue doctor, not associated with a team. Fairly sure I’ve seen him doing the same role around the Brisbane Premier comp. Looks like he’s got his blinkers on though.”
Either way, we don’t think he’ll be doing that again!
