Bhubesi Pride Foundation has been working with the charismatic Tom Chaloba since 2016 as part of their own delivery of coaching rugby to children and young people in nine countries through Africa, including Zambia.
“My name is Tom Chaloba and I believe in the values of rugby”…
Tom’s mission is to increase participation among young people, develop coaches and create pathways for playing in clubs, which BPF is supporting with their annual expeditions.
Following a successful career playing for the Zambian national rugby team, Tom’s passion for the sport and the desire to develop and create a legacy led him to set up a rugby academy in Kabwe, Zambia. He now works in schools, clubs and communities coaching and sharing his skills and experience with over 3000 boys and girls, 10 to 18 years of age.
Tom is breaking down barriers using the sport for development and social change in Zambia and feels his aims and objectives have been assisted greatly by his work and close association with BPF.
