Coming to a screen near you on January 24th, Netflix: Six Nations Full Contact is a behind-the-scenes look at European Rugby’s premier international competition.
Releasing a trailer for the series, Netflix immediately captures the gladiatorial nature of the historic competition. Up first is Ireland prop Andrew Porter, who was asked point blank, “We’re going to cut straight to the chase. How tough do you have to be to play rugby?”
“Look at my ears, man,” the burly prop says as he shows them an ear that has been through the wars before looking at his other ear and saying, “This ear is actually fine, kind of, believe it or not, this is my good ear.”
Trailer looks very good. Let’s hope we have broken the mould now and Rugby is showcased for what it really is.
Modern day gladiators leaving it all out there in the name of entertainment.

The documentary tracks the 2023 edition of the Guinness Six Nations, a Championship which saw Ireland clinch a Grand Slam in dramatic fashion.
Spending time with each of the Six Nations, fans are set to be offered an interesting perspective on what makes each team tick and gain insight into the individuals involved in the squads.
Certainly, this is relatively new territory for the sport, but it is one as other sports such as Cycling, Formula One, and Tennis have shown; these documentaries are a useful tool in not only aiding the experience of your current fan bases but attracting new eyes to the sport.
