It’s been almost four years since Christian Wade left the English shores in favour of the United States. Wade had signed for the Buffalo Bills in a move that rocked rugby fans up and down the country.
After a super positive start for Wade over in Buffalo, his American adventure never really hit the heights he was hoping for. A mixture of injuries and the struggle to adapt to a new sport saw the NFL hopeful without a side earlier on this year.
Fear not, the former Wasps and England winger has a proven record when it comes to rugby, and that’s why the returning superstar has been snapped up by Racing 92.
With almost 500 points scored in a seven-year rugby career with Wasps on his CV, it’s not hard to see why the French outfit were so keen to add him to their roster.
Wade has recently turned out for the Paris-based side in a sevens tournament, hinting at his possible return to the full fifteen-a-side game.
Today that hint has become a reality, with Wade confirming the news himself on his Facebook page.
For those excited to see him strutting his stuff again, or those not quite sure what all the fuss is about; check out his record six-try game for Wasps back in the day:
