England captain Owen Farrell has explained the reasoning behind his side’s ‘v-shape’ formation while facing the Haka before Saturday’s World Cup semi-final.

Farrell was stood in the middle of the pitch with the rest of his squad fanning out ahead of him while the All Blacks performed their famous pre-match ritual.
England started the game with high intensity which resulted in an early try for centre Manu Tuilagi and they went on to beat the All Blacks 19-7 in Yokohama.
