Long-time England captain Owen Farrell has made his position clear on the firing of former England coach Eddie Jones.
Speaking after his Saracen’s side got their Heineken Champions Cup campaign off to a great start with a 30 – 26 win over URC side Edinburgh.
When prompted post-match about Jones’s departure Farrell said, “It’s obviously disappointing for someone to get that (fired) because it’s everybody’s job that’s got them to that place in the first place.”
“We are obviously disappointed, Eddie’s been a big part of our careers, a big part of my career and I am disappointed that it’s finished like it has.”
“He’s always been a brilliant coach for me, and for that I’m going to be massively thankful.”
Owen Farrell was frank as ever about @Saracens performance, but he did have warm words for all Eddie Jones did for his career
