Calls have come from fans to ‘make a steward go pro’ after a video has emerged of him completely obliterating a pitch invader trying his luck.
Pitch invaders don’t have the greatest reputation amongst fans nowadays, so when this chap made his way over the barriers, fans were thrilled to see him taught a lesson.
The footage, caught from multiple angles, showed the gentleman in question running with his top off along the try area attempting to evade stadium staff. After an initial slip that saw the Danny DeVito lookalike fall flat on his backside, it appeared as though he had regained his footing and evaded capture.
His escape was short lived, however, as he was lined up by a steward, knocking the living daylights out of him.

Fans have left their own thoughts on the footage, saying:
“Perfectly legal , safe height , both arms used …. Penalise defender for not real sending the ball”
Another added:
“Was that his soul falling out at the end?”
Either way, he won’t be doing that again.
