Welsh fans were outraged by the actions of a streaker during Saturday’s Test match after potentially denying Liam Williams a try against the Springboks.
Midway through the second half at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff a fan invaded the pitch while Wales were in a threatening position out wide. The idiot was successfully tackled by stewards but he was taken down just a few feet in front of Williams on the wing and while he still caught the pass from Johnny McNicholl, he was clearly impeded.
Had Williams not had to break stride for the streaker and stewards many fans will argue the British & Irish Lion would have beaten the Boks’ cover defence to score in the corner.
Absolute madness. Probably the most unpopular man in Wales right now#WALvRSA pic.twitter.com/zfLXuV3tZa

Fellow winger Josh Adams was incensed by what happened and after being carried away by the security staff, the invader received a suitable reception from the rest of the fans in the stadium.

At the time both sides were on 15 points and while Dan Biggar slotted a penalty moments later, a converted try could have given Wales enough momentum to win the Test match.

The past couple of weeks have also seen YouTube prankster Jarvo69 make headlines for dressing in full kit and joining in with various national anthems. The anonymous character started during last weekend’s All Blacks Test against Wales and repeated the gag ahead of Japan’s game against Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.
