Leicester needed every minute of their match against Saracens to secure a dramatic win as the visitors collapsed a maul on the last play, resulting in a yellow card and penalty try.
However, the 13-12 result was not without controversy as Saracens had thought the match over when Guy Porter was tackled into touch. But the challenge was deemed to be illegal, thus giving George Ford that kick for the corner and a chance at the win.

Tigers head coach Steve Borthwick offered solid praise for his team after the match.
“So my thoughts going into the game is that you are playing Saracens, and they’re a superb team, incredibly well-coached, and you’ve got to stay in the battle, and the players did that.”
“They hung on in there. I thought Saracens were playing really, really well. Credit to the players for sticking in the battle, and they managed to, and we were fortunate in the end to come out with the victory. Plenty of lessons for us to learn, mind, for the way Saracens managed that first half.”
The tears were flowing for Tigers debutant Hosea Saumaki as he discusses his debut, the win, and meeting his two-year-old daughter for the first time in an emotional post-match interview:
