While there is plenty of talk about what constitutes Tier 1 and Tier 2 nations right now, rugby continues to thrive in lesser-known rugby regions, such as Peru, where this fantastic try was scored recently.
It came to us as part of a submission to Rugbydump Blitz, our amateur rugby section that anybody can send clips to.
Jose Maria Pareja, who happens to be captain of the national team of Peru, was playing for the Flaming Lions here against Old Markhamians in the first division of Peru.
He got the ball in space and showing why he captains both his club and country, produced a lovely piece of skill to beat not one by two players with chip-and-chase perfection. Great try, Jose!
