Back in 2009 former Wales number eight Andy Powell put in a brutal no-arms tackle on Western Province back rower Duane Vermeulen.
Powell was representing the British & Irish Lions on the 2009 to South Africa and with the game in the balance inside the final 10 minutes, the Welshman lined up Vermeulen.
The South African flanker found himself on the wing following a quick counter attack by the Newlands side when Powell came out of nowhere to smash the number seven.
Referee Mark Lawrence blew up straight away and after consulting with his linesman, awarded just a penalty against Powell for the challenge.
In the end it was the Lions that won the game 23-26 thanks to a late penalty kick from James Hook at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
