Australia winger Reece Hodge has been called out for his tackle on Fiji flanker Peceli Yato which forced the Fijian off the field with a head injury.
Yato had already scored a try, made 80 metres from four carries and beaten three defenders before he failed a Head Injury Assessment in the 26th minute.
Hodge received no card for the tackle, which sees his shoulder make contact with Yato’s head without a clear attempt to wrap his arms.
It’s likely the incident will be reviewed.
The Wallabies went on to win their opening game of the World Cup 39-21 against Fiji in Sapporo.
Someone please tell @rugbyworldcup and @WorldRugby that they are allowed to call penalties on @wallabies Dangerous tackle, forward passes do we need to go on Hodge should have been sent off by now!!! @ITVRugby
