The late Sione Lauaki was a dominant force for the Chiefs in the mid to late 2000’s. Growing up in Auckland, Lauaki attended Kelston Boys High School where he would go on to represent them at first XV level. A few years later, he was then selected by Auckland in 2002 where he made his NPC debut. It only took a couple of seasons before Lauaki gained interest from the Chiefs in Super Rugby, who signed him for there 2004 season.
Lauaki ended up notching 70 Super Rugby appearances, generally playing as a number 8 or blindside flanker. He was also a 17 test All Black. Tragically, Lauaki passed away on 12 February 2017 due to heart and liver complications.

The other player in this clip, the player being thrown off, is none other than Richie McCaw. Richie McCaw, is a name synonymous with rugby. The two time world champion former All Black has 148 caps to his name and 145 Super Rugby appearances. It goes to show, even one of the greats will still get it wrong from time to time.
