Big Joe Cokanasiga has become one of the key figures in the Bath team over the past couple of years as his sheer size, speed and general athleticism prove vital to a side with lofty aspirations.
His career to date has sadly been marred with multiple injuries and setbacks, making club and international appearances a rarity rather than a rule. Since recovering from a series of long-term injuries that left him sidelined for well over 12 months, Cokanasiga has managed to put together a solid run in the Bath team over the past year or so which has seen his form return and his presence greatly desired.
It’s not just Bath that appear to want the big man in their ranks, however, it’s become known among many sources that west-country rivals Gloucester are now considering looking at Cokanasiga as a potential replacement for Louis Rees-Zammit as his contract runs out at the end of the season.
Gloucester were reportedly interested in Henry Arundell prior to his confirmation that he would be staying on in Paris for the next two years at least, which makes many fans wonder whether Zammit will indeed be looking to venture elsewhere as the season come to an end.
Cokanasiga is reportedly out of his own Bath contract at the end of the season having arrived from the club over five years ago from the now extinct London Irish.
