Former Harlequins centre Joe Marchant is set to join Saracens at the end of the season after just one year spent at Stade Francais. This news comes as an exclusive from English newspaper, the Daily Mail.
Marchant’s return to London will ensure the 27-year-old becomes eligible for the national side once again after ruling himself out of contention while playing in Paris.
The switch from Paris to London directly opposes the journey made by former international teammate Owen Farrell, as he looks to exit the English giants in favour of the star-studded Paris side, Racing 92.

Twitter fan account RugbySaracens said, “Joe Marchant would be a fantastic addition to any side. If he’s looking to come back from Paris to be eligible for England again it would be great to see him in”
French fans haven’t treated the news with the same enthusiasm, however, with many appearing frustrated by the early exit. One Stade Francais fan, Arthur Ganute said: “Joe Marchant is only there to fill injuries is a recruitment error… We should have recruited another centre, less expensive, directly available and surely with the same performance, and who would have just as much compensated for the injuries of Delbouis and Boudehent”
