Rugby Impacts in Slow Motion with Bath Rugby

The guys from BBC’s Earth Unplugged went down to Bath Rugby recently to film a training session in high definition slow motion, giving us a different perspective on the sport we all love.

Rugby Impacts in Slow Motion features clips of the Bath guys training at Farleigh House, with Sam and Simon capturing the full force of the scrum, physics of the grubber kick and perhaps the bit that came out best on camera, the impact on the ball when Gavin Henson kicked it.

There is of course a scientific element to it, and it would have been great to see some big hits and collisions slowed down, but as it was filmed at the start of the season they weren’t smashing one another, on that particular day anyway.
