Following the questions that the RD community submitted via our Facebook page, we sent Dave along to have a chat with Chris Robshaw to see how he is enjoying the season so far, and find about more about his nutrition, views on the game, and goals and ambitions for England and the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour.
After their succesful Aviva Premiership winning season, Harlequins captain Robshaw has said that ‘Quins aren’t feeling the pressure as such, but want to just keep improving where possible.
“Of course we don’t want to rest on our laurels. It’s about working on what didn’t quite go so well last year and how do we improve on the positives we had,” he explained.
“We were the tenth worst team in the Premiership for discipline, so that’s a massive area of the game we can improve and if we can cut out the number of penalties we give away obviously it gives teams less possesion and more chance of us winning games.”
Chris also touched on how much he can squat, the extended TMO laws, and the balance of England’s backrow currently. We’ll be giving away a new Canterbury England jersey soon, signed by the skipper himself, so keep an eye out for that over the next few weeks.
