Its been less than a week since the first episode of the School of Hard Knocks was featured here on Rugbydump, so with such a positive response, its time to bring you the next instalment as we head into episode two of this great series.
In episode one we got introduced to the program as we saw the group of misguided youths brought into the team that theyll be part of for eight weeks. The goal; to get them off the streets, change their lives for the better, and teach them the values and skills that are part of playing the wonderful sport of rugby.
Will Greenwood and Scott Quinnell are along for the ride as they act as mentors to the young boys who, along with the guidance of the team from Rugby Performance, will be put through their paces to get them in shape and fighting fit for their first rugby match.
In part one of this episode we see what happens when some of the lads turn up late for training, we learn more about where a few of them come from, and the guys get prepared for one of their biggest challenges in the near future job interviews.
Some of them ace it, but many are a bit confused about where they want to be and what they want to do in life. Fitness training is also on the cards, but one individual in particular struggles to adjust to the new way of life.
A trip to a police training facility then proves to be a real eye opener for the young guys as they undergo genuine police training drills, providing them with new found respect for the coppers.
Its another fascinating episode of this very enjoyable show. More to come soon and if you like it, please leave a thanks or a positive comment to let us know. Thanks also go to Rugby Performance and Sky Sports for their part in making this great series.
