The extremely popular School of Hard Knocks is back in 2012, as Will Greenwood and Scott Quinnell mentor a group of troubled youths from London, teaching them life lessons and preparing them for employment, using rugby as the vehicle for change.
The series has been popular when posted on here in the past, and this year we’ve been inundated with requests from various parts of the globe, so now that it’s finished on TV in the UK, we’re sharing it on here, hopefully not stepping on toes but rather spreading the positive message that comes with a highly entertaining and insightful show.
In years gone by the groups have been in North Wales, Croyden, and East London, and now this year they’re in the area of Tottenham, where the infamous London riots took place not too long ago.
You can view previous seasons in our archived School of Hard Knocks section, and we’ll be bringing the rest of this year’s series to you soon, as there are four episodes of 45 minutes this time around, rather than six of thirty.
There was a recap show that was aired before episode one, but we weren’t able to get that. The good news is that quite a number of the guys that were on previous shows have now got fulltime employment and have turned their lives around significantly.
Thanks to Chris Chudleigh and Ken Cowan for the brilliant work they’ve done over the years, and Sky Sports for putting together a great production. Please provide feedback if you enjoy it, and we’ll make sure we get the next episodes up for you over the course of the next two weeks.
