Former Scottish Rugby captain Jim Hamilton has made one of the smoother transitions from professional player to media mogul in recent memory.
A co-host on the highly popular “Rugby Pod” alongside former England flyhalf Andy Goode. Hamilton has branched out to produce his own show, “The Big Jim Show”, which has been an equally successful and exciting venture for the former secondrow.
Known for his quick wit and sometimes outlandish predictions, Hamilton finally met his match in Irish international star winger Mack Hansen.
Interviewing the Connacht man before the 2023 Guinness Six Nations, the two men made a bet about how the clash between Hansen’s Ireland and Hamilton’s Scotland would play out.
In short, the loser would need to get a tattoo of the others’ choosing.
As all rugby fans will know, Ireland would go on to comfortably see off the Scots in Edinburgh despite suffering several injuries to key players.
Thus, the calls for Hamilton to fulfil his bet from both Hansen and Rugby Pod fans grew louder.
A man of his word, Hamilton has finally fulfilled the bet as he travelled to Galway to meet Hansen and get the tattoo.
