Winger Sevu Reece has finally taken his place back in the All Black lineup after a period on the sideline through injury.
The speedy wide man injured his knee during a game against the Blues in Round Four of Super Rugby last season which caused him to miss the 2023 World Cup.
With his ACL rupture now healed following surgery, Reece found himself sitting happily in front of reporters once again today as he joined his teammates preparing for their first test of the new regime under Scott Robertson.
Joking around alongside international teammate Reiko Ioane, Reece responded to questions surrounding his return by pointing to the man who injured him in the first place.
“Yeah, it’s always special getting named in the All Blacks squad and I just feel grateful to be back here.”
Before adding: “Special thanks to my mate here. So he was the one that ruled me out of last year. In case you guys were wondering, yeah it was him.”
