As we head into another big weekend of rugby, here’s a quick look at something different, as Shane Williams set the record for the Brian Moore Big Mouth Challenge last weekend.
There’s been a fair share of trick videos of late, the majority of which have been fake. Unfortunately this has lead to everyone being a sceptic when it comes to clips being released that show good skill. This is slightly different though, as it’s a simple pass the ball through the mouth challenge.
The idea is that you get 24 balls and one minute to pass as many of them as possible through the big mouth of Brian Moore. Unfortunately his availability is such that he can’t travel around the UK providing the real thing, so this life size cut-out was created to make things easier.
So far there’s been a few guys give it a crack, with former Wales scrumhalf Rob Jones taking on Dan Parks, Nathan Hones, Matt Dawson and Andy Nicol, who got 8 through.
Scottish number nine Mike Blair had put up a pretty good score of 7, while fellow Scot Nicol got 8 recently. Shane Williams has since had a go and managed to set the record, passing 9 balls through the target.
Here’s the short clip as it was requested and I thought it might be of interest to some of you, as I’m sure we all fancy ourselves as being able to do better. Easier said than done it seems.
