Justin Marshall last night hailed Shane Williamss high-scoring testimonial match as a fitting tribute to the Welsh wing wizard.
There were 19 tries in all during an end-to-end encounter at the Millennium Stadium, with Williams claiming the winning try for his Welsh XV in the closing stages.
Marshall, who skippered the World XV, said: The key thing is the game reflected the way Shane plays. Hes a positive player who tries to create something every time he gets the ball.
I think both teams entered into the spirit of the way hes played rugby, so what we got was a really entertaining game and a tribute to an entertainer.
Speaking about William’s late winning try, Marshall said: I was coming across to absolutely smoke him, but it was typical Shane Williams, he did me like a kipper. I think it was very fitting.
For those of you who don’t understand Welsh, just listen out for the names as we see a tryfest that ended 65-57 to the Williams Grand Slam XV.
