Sharks flyhalf Lionel Cronje launched a spectacular no-look assist out the back to set up an easy try to winger Thaakir Abrahams in his side’s 56-14 crushing victory over the Lions at Ellis Park.
The bit of magic helped the Sharks book their place in the Currie Cup semi-finals. Cronje also finished the day perfect with the boot, while Abrahams finished the match with three of his team’s eight tries in the bonus-point win.

The hosts managed to get on the board with a try from Emmanuel Tshitukaafter being down 35-0. However, it was far too little in the face of the Sharks’ clinical assault.

Cronje is known for having a penchant for the spectacular. He is of course the man who did that unbelievable around the back dummy when playing for the Southern Kings in 2017.
More recently, he also produced a lovely reverse kick that led to a try when playing for the star-studded Toyota Verblitz team in Japan.
The Sharks will take on Western Province next Saturday, August 28th.
