Manu Tuilagi may have finally met his match. The Sale Sharks centre is known for his bruising hits and powerful running style, however for possibly the first time ever, he’s come out on the wrong side of a collision.
In today’s match-up against Toulouse, Tuilagi went in for a trademark smash on Emmanuel Meafou, before being thundered backwards and made to eat the dirt instead. The Toulouse man, standing at 203 cm (6 ft 8 in), and weighing 145 kg (320 lb), easily ‘swatted’ aside the England man, before going on to make more strides into the Sale defence. He was eventually brought down in a team effort by the Manchester-based side.

Meafou will be a man to watch out for in the near future. Only 24 years old, Meafou has recently qualified for French residency so the second row could very well be in contention for a six nations place with France.
