Who is the fastest player in rugby history? It is a question as old as the sport and it generally rears its head around Olympics time as the track and field stars of the world strut their stuff.
In fact this publication recently released a piece following our interview with former England fullback Mike Brown.
Asked about who was the fastest player he either played with or against, Brown offered an interesting list of speedsters.

Listing several players, Brown spoke about one player in particular who left him speechless.
“Also, Bryan Habana. When I first got in the England team and played against South Africa, he was so quick, and you’re just like ‘Oh my God’ you don’t realise until you see it up close and personal.” Brown said.
In defence of Brown before we go any further, this quote was from an interview a few weeks back and is therefore somewhat out of date.
Taking Habana’s crown today is famed Rugby influencer ‘The Rugby Guy’ who left the man who once race a cheetah in his wake!
Not that we would like to bring any controversy into the rugby guy’s big victory but it appear as though there were some dodgy tactics being employed.
Either way, Habana will no doubt be devastated by the loss and has forced us to delete all of the articles we have published over the years lauding his speed.
