South Africa’s much lauded bomb squad has become somewhat of mystical creature that leaves opposition coaches and players alike quaking in their boots.
Whilst the bomb squad begin the game on the bench, the issue for the opposition is that the starting group are just as powerful.
Thus, lies the perfect storm for opposition coaches who plan to tackle the Boks at next year’s World Cup.
Springbok power was on full display at Twickenham this past weekend as they obliterated England’s set piece with ease enroute to a dominant 27 – 13 wins.
In a moment that encapsulated the full eighty minutes into a ten second block it was the below scrum.
As England’s scrumhalf Jack van Poortvliet puts the ball into the scrum, the Bok power comes through like a herd of Buffalos on the charge.
Simply outrageous scenes from the Boks.
Washing machine? Frog in a liquidiser? The Crumple? I’m going for The Twister! Don’t ever remember seeing anything like this on a rugby field before .. Talk about being owned in a scrum! pic.twitter.com/9PSyfd6H8J
