Sharks and Springbok star Makazole Mapimpi's off the ball incident spotted

The Hollywoodbets Sharks are in the midst of their opening round of the Investec Champions Cup clash with the Premiership side of the Exeter Chiefs.

Naming a Springbok-laden side for the clash, the home side entered the clash as heavy favourites initially struggled to contain their visitors.

In what has been a fiery contest thus far, both sides have had their chances, with the Chiefs scoring the first try despite being a man down following a yellow card to Greg Fisilau.

Dotting down for the visitors was Dan Frost, who barged over from close range.

Since then, the Sharks have flexed their muscles with three exceptional tries through Phepsi Buthelezi, Makazole Mapimpi and Grant Williams to take a commanding 19 – 7 lead.

Whilst the home side have been magnificent in attack, one moment that has caught the attention of fans online was an interaction between Mapimpi and Chiefs fullback Josh Hodge.

Chasing a kick, Hodge jostled with the Springbok stalwart but ultimately lost the race.

Taking exception to Hodge’s tussling, Mapimpi appeared to grab the Chiefs youngster by the neck before a teammate quickly calmed him down.
