BT Sport commentator David Flatman called out Toulouse replacement lock Emmanuel Meafou for a “double ruffle” on Ulster’s Alan O’Connor during Friday night’s Champions Cup clash.
The incident occurred after Toulouse won a penalty in the final five minutes of the game and Meafou gave the Ulster second row some afters to try and antagonise him.
“I’d penalise that,” said Flatman on comms. “You’ve been on the pitch for five minutes and you’re doing the double ruffle, do him.”

Opinion has been split between fans over whether the Australian should have been penalised for the incident at the Kingspan Stadium. Despite the slight controversy late on, Toulouse went on to win the game 22-29 and full match highlights are available below:
