Wales play Samoa tomorrow in what should be fascinating battle following their narrow loss last weekend. One player in particular that stood out in that game was British & Irish Lions center, and Mr nice guy, Jamie Roberts. He’s making the rest of us look bad, so it’s time to take him down.
A top performer on the Lions tour of South Africa in 2009, Roberts has shown that he’s a serious force to deal with in the midfield as his imposing size, power, and rugby brain are a huge asset to Wales, the Cardiff Blues, and of course, the Lions.
Last week he battered the Springbok flyhalf channel, proving to be a nuisance with his big ball carries, and tomorrow he’s up against another powerful figure in the form of Seilala Mapusua. Rather than build up the game with a few mindgames, as his coach is known to do from time to time, Roberts has only good things to say about the opposition. Does this man ever step out of line? We know he’s a top bloke, but come on.
With that in mind, it’s time to take down Jamie, and Tim Warwood is just the man for the job. As you’ll see in the first part of this exclusive video for RD, Roberts, the professional-rugby-playing-medical-student-nice-guy, must be stopped. He’s just too good at so many things. That must end, now.
This is a three part series, so we’ll post the next two clips soon.
