#ThrowbackThursday: That time Delon Armitage crushed Nic White

Here is a quick #ThrowbackThursday clip that we haven’t posted before, featuring Lyon’s Delon Armitage making a crushing tackle on Montpellier’s Nic White. The former Toulon fullback timed the challenge perfectly, getting the Wallaby ball and all.

White felt it, and while Armitage looked as though he might have sparked a bit of an incident by crouching over the injured halfback, sanity prevailed and he helped him up. Solid hit by the former England man.

White was in the news this week for being on the receiving end of another piece of rough play, this time of the illegal kind as Leinster lock Hayden Triggs has been suspended for 3 weeks for making contact with White’s eye-area during their 57-3 meeting last Friday. 

Also, Francois Steyn has been suspended for four weeks for his high tackle on Johnny Sexton in the same match. You can view that challenge here.
