Hurricanes scrum half TJ Perenara was subject to a dramatic-looking high tackle against the Lions in round 17 of Super Rugby.
The All Black was running down the wing when Lions replacement Hacjivah Dayimani tackled him around the neck.
Perenara remained motionless on the floor and advantage was played to the Hurricanes, however the penalty was never awarded because Dane Coles picked up the loose ball to score in the corner.
Dayimani escaped without further punishment and Perenara played the full 80 minutes, but fans may feel the 21-year-old was lucky to stay on the pitch.
The game finished 17-37 to the Hurricanes in Johannesburg meaning the Canes are now comfortably in second place in the New Zealand conference.
