Tensions spilt over during Saturday’s Top 14 clash between Toulouse and Castres when a brawl broke out in the dug out.
Half way through the second half at Stade Ernest-Wallon, Toulouse replacement Alexi Balès was tackled hard into touch and when Castres fly-half Benjamín Urdapilleta attempted to gather the ball quickly. However full back Thomas Ramos took exception and started pushing the veteran Argentine.
The pair then grabbed hold of each other which sparked a brawl at the side of the pitch as several players from both sides piled in, spilling over into the Castres dug out just in front of the fans.
Nothing came of the incident as the referee simply waited for the situation to simmer down before carrying on with the game, which Toulouse were comfortably in control of with a 41-0 lead.
There were no further points scored in the match making it a complete performance by the home side and Toulouse currently sit top of the table with seven wins from the opening eight rounds of the Top 14.
