We’re playing catchup after such a busy time in the rugby world, as the Guinness Premiership and Magners League both kicked off this past weekend, as well as Tri Nations, Currie Cup, and Air New Zealand Cup matches.
From the Top 14 though, we have a clip for you that has highlights from three of the better matches in Round 3.
Two tries from Montpellier wing Jaques Bousuge and a drop goal from Francois Trinh-Duc had them leading Stade Francais, but Stade came back with a great try to Mark Gasnier.
Mirco Bergamasco then evened up the score in the second half, before lock Pascale Pape crossed, and Gasnier scored again to seal the comfortable win.
Bourgoin picked up their first win of the season by beating Biarritz 22-17 at the Stade Pierre-Rajon. South African prop Eduard Coetzee scored a great front rowers try for Biarittz, but it was not enough to keep them in the match as Benjamin Boyet slotted a penalty and a 45m drop to deal the win for Bourgoin.
The heavyweight clash of the weekend was Toulouse against Perpignan, as Toulouse hoped to beat the defending champions away for the first time in twenty years.
It was an intensely physical battle, with Perpignan centre Maxime Mermoz scoring the games only try. 17-15 to Perpignan is how it ended.
