Eddie Jones and his Wallabies look firmly on the path to an opening-round victory in the Rugby World Cup.
Having lost his first five fixtures in charge, Jones and his squad have been under immense pressure to make some waves at this year’s tournament.
Shaking things up prior to the tournament, Jones elected to omit experienced options in favour of youth as he looks to build a squad to compete at the 2027 World Cup down under.
One such youngster is utility back Ben Donaldson, who has started today’s match at fullback primarily due to his reliable goal-kicking ability.
Simply put, Donaldson has been superb all match and has more than justified his selection.
One main highlight of his evening will be the relatively easy try he has just scored and converted, which has come about in a rather ludicrous manner.
Starting deep in the Georgian half, the emerging nation who have caused several upsets in recent years made a scintillating break.
Looking for all money to be on their way for a try, the Georgian fullback Niniashvili threw an offload to the grateful hands of Wallabies prop Taniela Tupou, who offloaded the ball to Donaldson.
The rest, as they say, is history.
