Sometimes sport leaves you scratching your head and asking ‘What on Earth just happened?’. Henry Hutchison left fans asking just that after butchering what was a certain try.
Playing against Argentina in the Sydney 7s, the Aussies executed a perfect cross field kick into the path of Hutchinson who had half of the pitch to himself it seemed.
All of the hard work had been done for him but as the ball dribbled over the line, screaming out for someone to touch it down, Hutchinson got himself in a right tangle and bizarrely held up his own try with his feet.
Rather than placing the ball onto the ground, he lost his balance and touched it down onto his own rugby boots.
Have you ever seen anything like this in rugby before?
"I've never, ever, ever seen that before in rugby"
That one has got to sting for Henry Hutchison 🥲#Sydney7s | #HSBC7s | @Aussie7s pic.twitter.com/xNjf9y8CIv
