Blues signing Beauden Barrett beat his personal best time for the bronco fitness test as the squad continued preparations for Super Rugby Aotearoa earlier this week.
The All Blacks star joined the Blues last year but is yet to make his debut because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which halted the Super Rugby season.
However with Super Rugby Aotearoa set to commence on 13 June, players have returned to a second pre-season training environment, resulting in a number of personal best times for the Blues.
The bronco test requires players to run 20, 40 and 60m and back five times over – a total distance of 1.2km – as fast as possible.

Barrett, who has earned 83 caps for the All Blacks, completed the challenge first in a time of four minutes and 12 seconds. Beat that.
