Keeping in line with the exceptional standard of school’s rugby that we have seen coming out of South Africa recently. Garsfontein Hoerskool put on a masterclass in their big win over HTS Drostdy.
With less than ten minutes left on the clock Garsfontein showed no sign of dropping their intensity.
When the referee awards a free kick, the ball is passed to a replacement prop who trucks it up in a fashion that only a front-row player can.
The Drostdy defender looks set to make the tackle but doesn’t quite get his height correct and gets well and truly bounced!
The collision itself left the crowd gasping and the competitors in awe of the big hit. Once again showing just how physical South African schools rugby can be.
This hit wasn’t the only big one from a jam packed weekend of SA schools rugby. Another huge hit came in the Grey College vs Paarl Boys High Clash doing the rounds on social media.
