Harlequins legend Mike Brown has further opened up on the recent news that he will join Newcastle Falcons for the 2021/22 season.
Brown, 35, has been with Quins since 2005 and represented the club more than 340 times, however in early April the veteran gave a candid interview on the harsh nature of his sudden departure from the club.
The former England full back has now gone into further detail on Rugbypass Offload about the reasons why he was not offered a new contract and why he was upset with the club.
Brown begins by saying: “I have to be a bit careful because the club weren’t too happy with what I said…
“There’s going to be other guys that leave in the future and I feel like there’s a lot of learning that can be taken from my situation.”
Brown goes on to discuss the role of loyalty in rugby as well as his relationship with CEO Laurie Dalrymple, who recently claimed the full back turned down three contract offers from the London-based club.
