Eddie Jones threw playful jibes towards South Africa Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus in his most recent post match interview.
Eddie Jones was in a lively humour following his sides defeat to Scotland in their opening game of the 2022 Six Nations Championship. Jones described feeling after the loss as “massively disappointed”.
When asked about If he thought the referee got the decisions right with the scrums towards the end of the game Jones responded with “wait for the video mate, it’s coming out, I’ve got the production team on it now…it’s called Rassie in love with. That’s my production team”.
When Jones mentions that he has got a ‘video’ coming out, he is playfully referring to the hour long video released by Rassie Erasmus criticising referee Nic Berry following South Africa’s 1st test loss to the British and Irish Lions last summer.
England lost 20-17 to Scotland in the opening round of the Six Nations in a game which featured as some would call a ‘controversial’ penalty try to level the game at 17 a piece with 15 minutes on the clock. Substitute hooker for England Luke Cowan-Dickie was yellow carded and a penalty try was awarded to Scotland by referee Ben O’Keefe.
