Toulouse scored one of the tries of the season during Friday night’s Top 14 clash with Pau at Stade Toulousain.
The move was started by a quick lineout from fly half Zack Holmes inside their own five-metre line and the Australian beat two defenders to bring the ball up to the 22.
Toulouse then spread the ball out wide allowing winger Matthis Lebel to step back in field and make a clean break through the Pau defence before finding scrum-half Alexi Balès with a delicate pop pass.
Balès then made a dash for the corner and managed to get the ball down in dramatic fashion to finish off a wonderful team try for the hosts.
However despite this heroic effort, Balès was not credited with the score because the referee awarded Toulouse a penalty try after former Wallaby Jesse Mogg failed to use his arms in the final tackle.
